Stayed 3 nights on 13th floor, room was small, furniture a bit dated, and bathroom was small. Despite the many non-smoking signs, there was tangible cigarette smoke almost daily. Impressive entry and multiple shops on the 2nd to 4th floors made the hotel seem like a department store. The buffet was mediocre in quality and range of offerings. Service was good overall, especially the concierge desk and porters. Hotel is within walking range of MRT station and shopping centers. I think the hotel is better suited for business travelers without kids.

The famous Taiwan beef noddle soup, steamed tiny buns and Yun-ho bean
milk stores, they are all within a bolck.
Hotel has a good variety cuisines.

The hotel rooms were recently renovated in a modern contemporary style with nice touches of Chinese accents. Its close to shopping (5 mins walk to Sogo) and I love the beef noodles at the hotel (best in Taiwan in my opinion).

Very good location. Room is comfortable. Service is above average. Room rate is reasonable and breakfast is usually included with most stays. The room does need refurbishments: toilet is dated and noisy, tub needs replacement or recoating, etc.Overall, you will have a pleasant stay if you don't demand five star treatment.
