I booked my three day trip through Travel Agency. The condition of the room and it's location across the rotunda from the elevators were an indication that the Hyatt puts online travel customers in lower-standard rooms. I am not a super-picky person, and I have been travelling to Dearborn for many years. Most of my stays have been at the Hyatt. The room I stayed in this trip would not even rate three stars by most review standards. My room was not properly cleaned. There was lipstick and makeup on the duvet and pillows under the bedcovers, hair on the floor, half used rolls of toilet tissue, permananet stains on the carpet, worn carpet and furnishings. I could tell that the cleaning staff had been in there (it wasn't a mistake, or overlooked). The room was simply in poor condition, as were the hallway carpets, fixtures, empty flower box planter frames, and woodwork. It was very sad to see because I remember when this hotel was the best place to stay in the area. My room was located all the way around on the east side of the hotel, overlooking the southfield freeway. To get to my room, I had to walk a considerable distance, then across a bridge after exiting the elevator. This room location was far less convenient than others. It leads me to believe that these rooms are given to "less preferred" customers.

As a lower-middle class family of 5 with 3 kids 13. 11, and 9, we had a great time. We felt comfortable, and the staff was very helpful and nice. The registration gave us a corner room that was a bit larger to accommodate us all. We only stayed one night as we were in town for another event. The hotel was spectacular and beautiful. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Detroit.

It's a hotel that obviously caters to people with business in Dearborn (esp. with Ford or UM-Dearborn), but my wife and I just used it for a nice two days alone. It's an accessible drive to most places in the Metro area, Dearborn has several good local restaurants and shops, and Fairlane Mall is literally within walking distance. The staff is attentive, courteous and very, very proficient at what they do, and the room was comfortable and in top condition. The only minus I can find is the nickle and dime charges ($5 bottled water, $*/day net access), but that hardly detracts from the relaxing time I had.

I stayed with my family for two weeks and i have three kids. I have to move the beds in order to arrange it properly but i found it very dirty. My company booked me this hotel otherwise i wouldn't stay in this hotel at all. No way next time to stay there ever.

Good location, and easy to get to my client's office. For such a "fancy" hotel, the noise level in the rooms was annoying. I heard hallway chatter, other peoples' showers, and music out in the parking lot. Despite comfortable bed, if you are a light sleeper, try elsewhere. The room never cooled to a comfortable temp for me, despite lowering it to 67. By contrast, the hallways were very chilly. OK food -- the steak I ordered medium rare came back medium well; however, they too 20% off my bill which was nice of them.
