We checked into this hotel late on friday night after driving in from San Diego. The lobby was empty and quiet (off season) but the pool was full of young families out splashing around at 10pm (closes at 11). When we checked in I asked if they had any upgrades to a suite available (never hurts to ask) and she told me that they did not that night but they did for Saturday night and to just ask. We asked in the morning - the regular run of the house room was fair size, an average hotel room - and they did have a one bedroom suite available that we were moved to for no extra charge. The two sliding doors leading outside from the bedroom and the living room opened up to a large grassy area with lounge chairs that looked right out onto the golf course. There was a gate off to the side that lead right to the pool which was nice to not have to walk through the lobby after spending a day out by the pool. My boyfriend loved it - he was able to go back in forth to take a nap during the day and make another drink. The bathroom in the suite was beautiful - huge soaking tub and seperate steam shower. The hosted food during the early evening was nice - veggies and chips and dip, nothing to fancy but enough to satisfy. We didn't make it to the continental breakfast in the morning, but i'm not sure we missed much. It was a nice time and very affordable during the off season. The only thing that I would change is the resort fee - wouldn't consider it a resort, but they are clear and up front about it. Had Fun!

Just got back from Staecoach and was very disappointed with the hotel. Charged a $* resort fee plus tax. We were surprised that we were charged this as I would not consider this hotel a resort. We booked our room in October, 6 months before our arrival. We did not get the type of room we requested and were told by the desk staff to call the hotlel directly and not book on line if we wanted our requested room type. Don't know why travel online books this hotel. We did not receive our room keys at check in and dealt with a rude desk clerk when we returned to the front desk. The room was dated, carpet stained and very noisy, We could hear everything going on in the hallway, pool outside and upstairs. Maid was vaccuuming upstairs before 9 am and was extremely loud. Good thing we weren't sleeping in. The pool bar was never opened and pool towels were available oly at the desk.

The room at this hotel was great. It was spacious, clean and quite comfortable. The front desk was always helpful and friendly. Other guests seemed happy with their accomodations as well. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Lobby looks nice. The rooms REEK from over use of Febreze! The floors in the hallways creek and wooble like there might be a deteriorating wooden floor under the carpet. The decor in the room is motel standard. The gals at the front desk tried to be helpful, the manager (Elvis) was distracted, unhelpful and very standoffish. John the Valet, was very nice. The other valet ...too interested in using lobby computers and watching the bar TV. Internet...a joke in most rooms. Works well in the lobby and bar area. I suggest using the bar area if you want to use the internet. Although the bar is always open the bartenders hide and keep the lights off so it looks closed. If you go in and stand at the bar for a few minutes they do come out and serve you however. The continental breakfast was actually not bad for a freebie. Skip the rest of the meals here however, poor quality and over priced. There are plenty of GREAT eateries in the vicinity. Room service staff ALL great and attentive. The Golf course, forget it. The tennis courts, not too bad.
