The thought that they keep rows and rows of guppies in TINY bowls, just to bring them upstairs so that visitors can stare at them for 10 minutes max? It's cruel. These are animals that deserve to swim freely. Kimpton: it's time to evolve!

This was a wonderful hotel, thoroughly modern in design and feel, with friendly and efficient service. The rooms were excellent, especially those high enough for a view of the Hudson. The rooftop deck, bar and restaurant were lovely but pricey. The hotel's evening wine hour from 5 to 6 pm was a nice touch and a great way to start the evening. The hotel was a little far from the subway, three long blocks and two short blocks. There was a great 5 star diner a couple of blocks away called the Pom Pom Diner - excellent food, service and prices. We only wished we had discovered it earlier during our six day stay.

My wife and I were looking for a hotel during Thanksgiving near Time Square. Since we were having dinner at my sister -in- law's apartment near Time Square the location was ideal. The hotel design is contemporary and extremely stylish. Construction was still going on so we were unable to take advantage of the restaurant and roof top bar. Still, I can imagine how nice these would be. The room was spacious (by New York standards) and plush. We were on the 14th floor with excellent views of the city. The flat screen tv was nice and the bed was heavenly. I didn't spend too much time there, but it was so nice to return to a comfortable space after walking all day. Other ammenities that I enjoyed were the complimentary breakfast, which was really just juice and muffins, and the well appointed fitness center. I will definitely return in the spring when the hotel is complete.
