  The NY Hotel/ Inn at Creek Street is an excellent downtown location, close to restaurants, pubs, sites and attractions. Small family owned hotel with great staff; best service we had in Alaska. Wonderful lilttle cafe that is a local hotspot, best coffee we had in a long time, great food and local flavor, even had Sam Adams on tap plus friendly bartenders! The rooms were beautiful, pillow-top beds, saw fish jumping and seals playing from our deck, big screen tv for the Sox game, high speed internet access for email, jacuzzi tub after a day of fishing. A whole lot of value for the price. Recommend to couples, families, fishing buddies, or whoever wants to getaway but not get too far.

  The room is small but clean. Reception wasn't manned and there were many flies around. Staff working there are very nice and kind. The room is VERY expensive, similar room anywhere in "lower 48" would go for $30, however, there is no competition in Ketchikan and in summer season you are expected to pay a lot for any room. I would stay there again since other hotels in Ketchikan are not offering better value.

  The staff is friendly and tidy. This is one of those hotels that used to be a house, so room size varies, but rooms are clean and just right for a budget traveler. No bugs or mildew. I would stay here again. The location is excellent -- near the tube and near lots of restaurants, a drugstore, etc., and it wasn't noisy.
