The Inn on Ferry Street was just great. A fabulous restoration of classic north-east architecture. Rooms are spacious, updated with all modern conveniences, yet take you back in time 100+ years. I was especially impressed with the security of the parking lot, the free shuttle, high quality breakfast and 'round-the-clock complimentary starbucks coffee! Oh, and... the price was more than reasonable. The perfect little get-away. I recommend highly.

This was my second time staying at the Inn on Ferry Street. I am businesswoman traveling solo and I felt completely safe. This is one of my favorite places to say. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. I love the bed and breakfast feel with all of the amenities of a business hotel and them some. The property is made up of 4 unique, historical Victorian homes and it has a very warm and homey feel. I loved the parlour on the main floor of the house I stayed at which a cozy fireplace and was a nice place to unwind after a busy day. The rooms had all the amenities you could want and I liked the assortment of coffee, teas and the bottle water and coffee on the night stand was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable as was the chair and ottoman where I worked while watching tv. There was a desk as well but I prefered working on the comfy chair. The hotel room had a plasma tv with cable. The breakfast buffet in the morning was wonderful. It included fruit, yogurt as well as waffles, cereal and eggs. What a great value for the rate. Plus, it is a nice change from your typical hotel. It's a gem!

I recently stayed four nights at the Inn. I had a great time and was satisfied with the experience. The staff and room were great. I did not feel uncomfortable. The suggestions that were made for entertainment and meals were great. I enjoyed the shuttle (great drivers and courteous) to places around town. The breakfast each morning was wonderful--fruit, cereals, breads, waffles, juice, teas, coffee, yogurt, etc. My room was on the top floor by way of stairs. I felt like I was at home--had a cookie and bottle of water waiting for me when I arrived! The bed was comfortable. The linens were clean. Someone came each day to clean or straighten my room. I loved the homey atmosphere. The rooms were stocked with the same things you find in hotels-shampoo, lotion, shower cap, soaps, etc. I would highly recommend this place for a vacation/business/get away. If you have trouble with stairs, I would suggest that you tell them so that your room could be on the bottom floor or one of the carriage houses rooms. I would love for my family to stay there and take in some of the sports/museums.

I stayed at the Inn on Ferry Street for a short, one-night stay. It is a charming, historic place comprised of several Victorian homes. It is a hidden gem for Detroit AND the service is excellent. The rooms are large and you have the modern conveniences of free wireless. I enjoyed the B&B feel. After the great breakfast, I stayed to read by the fireplace. The ambiance was very relaxing and I wish I could have stayed longer. The free parking was a bonus. The Inn is a hidden gem for Detroit. It's on a quiet, residential street and is right around the corner from the Detroit Institute of Arts and other cultural attractions. The nightlight of downtown is a short drive away. I will definitely come back!

We only stayed one night but really enjoyed it. We were in Detroit for the Final Four and even though MSU lost in the final game the Inn on Ferry Street helped soften the blow. Our room had a fireplace and was really comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast and I would stay here again.
