This hotel is beautifully constructed and expertly placed on a motu (small island) off of Bora Bora. It had very nicely maintained beaches, well stocked lagoons for snorkeling with a variety of fish and plenty of places to relax in the shade. The rooms are very well laid-out with beautiful views of the ocean and Mount Otemanu. (We had the saphirre room which is about half-way down the walkway). Our only point of contention is that our king-sized bed was not a king-sized bed but two twins put together! At nearly $* a night you would think that they would spring for an actual king size mattress. We booked through Pacific for Less Travel which included the Lagoonarium 1/2 day experience which is a must...wonderful staff and a great time. The staff is very well trained and always eager to greet you with Iaorana (the Tahitian hello or aloha). Just be patient if you want to rent some snorkeling gear (or kayak or outrigger for that matter) as everything is handled by the staff at the pool which are hardly ever at the pool to help you. And finally, just a word of advice regarding the restaurants (at the hotel as well as on the main island of Bora Bora)...they only serve meals at designated times meaning that a mid afternoon snack will have to wait until 6:30 pm when everything opens for dinner!

Stayed for 6 nights (30 Jan - 6 Feb 2009) in an over-water bungalow. Everything about the resort is fantastic. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the facilities were second to none. Bubbles bar was great. Would highly recommend staying here. The most relaxing vacation I've ever been on.

Beautiful hotel: bungalows incredibly large and luxurious, spa very enjoyable. Though lagoon has no coral, no multicolored fishes swimming around. Drawback is that you?re stuck on the Motu with nothing around. Food at the Reef restaurant is good but expensive. Avoid the Sands restaurant: food there is mediocre. Instead try the buffet next door at Le Meridien: great, cheaper and they will arrange a boat shuttle to take you there.

My wife summed this hotel up best when were there on our honeymoon in June ""In a year, this place is going to be one of the finest in Tahiti"".Rooms are incredible, views of Bora Bora Island are spectacular, staff are helpful and friendly. Cons - grounds are all newly planted, need time to grow in, still working out staff/service kinks, disappointing that the spa would not be running until Sept. But the bare bones are there, the facility is amazing, the lagoon is clear and beautiful, food was good. Air conditioning excellent, concierge very helpful, staff all smiles.
