Important Hotel Information
- Air transportation from Papeete must be made by contacting Air Tahiti at +(689) 86 42 42. (From the US, dial 011-689-864242) or visit their website at http://www.airtahiti.aero.
A new infinity pool will be constructed starting November 2009 and finishing June 2010. The Fare Hana Restaurant will be closed during this time. Hours of construction are 7:30am to 5:00pm. The hotel will provide complimentary transfers to a local beach during this time.
Overwater Bungalows and Beach Bungalows will undergo slight renovation from November 2009-May 2010. Garden Bungalows will undergo slight renovation from November 2009-April 2010. Minimal noise will occur during the bungalow renovations.

My husband and I stayed in a Garden Bungalow Suite and really enjoyed the property. The room was spacious, well appointed and we even had a slight view of the ocean (most of the Garden Bungalow Suites do not have a view but are in nice surroundings). The room itself was incredible and we really loved it.
The pool was nice but nothing fancy. The beach and lagoon were great but neither were sandy enough to go into without some type of foot protection. The snorkeling was pretty good for an off-the-shore snorkel and there were a lot of activities
On the downside, there aren't any restaurants near the resort (at least a 20 minute cab ride away) so we were pretty much hostage to the property restaurant, which was EXTREMELY overpriced and not very good. There was a small convenience store walking distance but they only sold soda and chips. Next trip, I will probably select the Sheraton because it is closer to the ferry terminal and many restaurants.
Lastly, we felt very secure around the property and the staff was wonderful. The bar and wait staff spoke English. The propery has day rooms available for 30-minutes without charge which was great for a late flight.
Overall - Moorea is great.
