When we visited Carowinds we stayed here. We had 5 rooms just one ice machine was working in the whole hotel. Other than it is a good location and has a good staff. They tried to accomodate our requests.

I stayed in the lacasa inn here in charlotte nc, it was so horrible. The pool is surrounded by bees, filthy, and has many insects in it. The first room we had was infested with grasshoppers and crickets both in the bed and bathroom. The second room I did not notice to have any bugs, but was filthy with stains on the floors, in the chairs, I did not sleep all night and wouldnt even sit in a chair without a towel over it. It also smells bad in each room and give me allergy flares. I would never stay again.!!!!!!!!I am trying to tough out my last few hours having no where else to go or I would have already left!!

Although it is conveniently located, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The did have a very good working air conditioner, microwave, and refrigerator. But those were the good points. I did not feel safe in the room because the interior lock was loose and there was NO smoke detector. I am certain this is against federal law. The "continental" breakfast consisted of cereal, muffins, fruit and juice. I was looking for a inexpensive hotel to spend the night after a concert. If you have a family that you love I would advise not staying at this hotel. It may be cost-efficient but I would rather spend more money to have a safe place to rest my head.

We recently stayed at the La Casa Inn and had to check out after only being there for 8 hours because the room was very unsafe. We have a 2 and a 4 year old and there was broken glass on the floor and my 4 year old pulled a handful of pills out of the pull out sofa. they don't clean the rooms at all! I tried to talk to the manager about switching our room and she refused so we checked out and they also refused to refund our money. HORRIBLE
