To a person the staff at this hotel is friendly, helpful and truly interested in your comfort and insuring you enjoy your stay. We never waited long for table service, or help with a question or taxi. Our room was cleaned promptly, except for the last day, when it was not cleaned until after 5 pm. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished in a Miami modern style, the bathrooms are generous, with a nice shower. The food in any of the several restaurants on site is excellent, as is the service, but a bit costly (but no more expensive than PR dining in general). The beach is simply wonderful, offering both sun and shade areas under the palms, a great surf, wonderful water temperature, and fine beach service, including chairs, sun-shades, and drinks. The most popular pool is in the sun at the center of the hotel, and is crowded, we preferred the beach area. There is an adult only pool, but it is in the shade, and we found the water too cool here for out tastes. It is a $* taxi ride to old San Juan, one way which adds up over time, and the busses are unreliable at best. We had a city view room and found it delightful, nice people watching opportunities. Good restaurants are within walking distance, as are some fine bars. There is a great farmers market right next to the hotel on weekends. A great hotel, fantastic staff, and a fun beach.

We stayed one night after a lovely cruise, the lobby restroom had a terrible odor for the 36 hours we were there. The oudoor area, the marble floors and the rooms were not clean in my opinion. The hotel is noisey well into 2-3 a.m. and can be heard into all the rooms because the outdoor area backs up into all of the rooms. Food was expensive and I had to send my dish back twice before they got it right. The decor in the rooms was not condusive to comfort it was modern and not clean, spots on the carpets and furniture in our jr suite. Puerto Rico is expensive but I felt for the price it was not worth it.

We stayed there in February 2011 a the decor is excellent very modern. Great bar area and lots of cabanas outside by the pool and ocean. Great service everyone was very hepful to guide us where the best places to go where and everyone is really friendly. This is the nicest hotel and has a casino. Only down side is there don't have a night club or even live music. There's no good night clubs near by either. Also beds are really hard
