Hotel was nice. Room was very clean. Staff were extremely helpful. Contintental breakfwast was nice. Location was close to everything in Portland. Only caveat, be careful when choosing a Mystery booking. This one popped up and although the rating was 3 star w/a pool included, it is a seasonal one. We booked for January and we do not polar dip. We would stay again.

I booked this room because I needed to get some sleep after a week of driving long distances. While the room itself was clean, the stay was not restful in the least. I was given the first floor room behind the front desk. Up until midnight, every guest that came into the hotel dragged luggage past the door while chatting away. They may as well have been in the room with me for the lack of soundproofing. When the guest traffic finally died down, the train traffic started, with trains passing directly past the hotel. My wake-up came much earlier than planned, when hotel guests resumed their movements early in the morning and I could smell burnt toast coming from the continental breakfast in the lobby.

My husband and I spent 3 days and 2 nights at La Quinta in Portland Maine. The people at the front desk were amazing, polite, helpful. The room was clean, nicely decorated and we even got what we asked for a mini fridge and microwave. I would recommend this place to anyone. The free shuttle to airport was a huge perk.
