To keep it short and sweet: What's Good: The view of the lake. There are four walls and a roof which will keep you dry in a rain storm. What's Bad: First up, the price. The Illahee Inn is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced for what you are getting. The value is so poor, it will leave a very bad taste in your mouth for a very long time. The rooms are tiny. There is a long list of what you can not do inside your room (or you will be charged extra), which makes you feel like you are trespassing on someone else's property and that you are not supposed to be there. There is a T.V., but like the room, it is tiny. The balcony is very thin and is not constructed well. This means that when people are walking around at night, you hear evey single clumping, noisy footstep. Above you, you get to hear everything that the owners are doing as they live above the guest rooms and the floors are very, very thin. The ""brunch"" is very typical of an old person's portioned meal. We would eat at the Inn first, then drive out to Vernon and get more to eat straight away. I tinkered around with one of the kayaks to fix the seat on it. The equipment had not been maintained. They do have a hot tub, which is pleasant, but it is away from the guest house a little and the path is not lit. All in all, there are many, many places to stay in the Okanagan and I am sure you could find a much more pleasant and more affordable B&B or hotel. This place truely is not worth the money.
