The hotel overall is quite comfortable and only a 5 minute walk to the center of the quaint town of Amboise. Our room unfortunately had a terrible smell of mildew (room 9) which was so strong it kept me awake several nights. The staff will try to get you to make dinner reservations in their dining room (must be on commission). We were very disappointed. The food although interesting was expensive and you will walk away hungry after spending a fortune. Portions are extremely small and I did not find the experience anything special. Staff is wonderful and very helpful. All speak English.
