Was thinking from the other reviews that this hotel would be a bit bigger and less like a motel. To my surprise, the rooms were very, very small, and we had to go on two different elevators to get to our room. One of which smelled very bad, due to the constantly wet carpet. Had a room that overlooked the street, not really appealing either. Bathroom was uber small and the bathtub was pathetic. Even the hot water gave out after just one bath. Looks like each room has its own personal hot water heater that doesn't last very long. No room service, no perks of any kind, very small room. And room kind-of felt dirty. Guess that could have been due to the fact that hotel was very, very old and in way need up an upgrade. Only good side was great customer service at front desk in lobby, which was also very small. Is close to Nation subway station and other station opposite direction. Buffet breakfast was good, although way expensive for just eggs, sausage, fruits, cheeses, and croisants. Go to "Extra Old Cafe" which is very near hotel for great food and service. Will not be staying there again.

Hard to find from the metro, it was very confusing to find by the directions given. Finally arrive to the hotel, I speak english and my boyfriend speaks itailan so we picked a hotel that said they spoke english, well again this was very disappointing the women at the front desk looked at us like we were stupid. We got to our room, the heater worked for sure they had the heater on high in a tiny room, had to open windows to breathe, the room was TINY, and i dont mean tiny by europe standards I mean TINYYY. The bathroom had a exposed pipe that dripped everytime u flushed the toliet, there was about 3 mins of warm water then it turned freezing cold, we had to take 3 different lifts to arrive at our room, there are different buildings to this hotel u have to go outside and and inside many times and it can be confusing, we went in feb so we had to deal with the snow and cold to get to our room after arriving at the hotel maybe in the summer its better, the staff did not seem friendly and the building we stayed at had a horrible smell, we chose to not have our room cleaned so we put the do not disrub sign up when we left, when we returned someone had been in to make our room. The Hotel lobby is the nicest part, the pictures on the website must be very old. There is a few places to eat near to the hotel 13 euro for a cheeseburger, but i guess its better than the hotels * euro a person breakfest, cold cereal, biscuts they call it breakfast, i call it a rip off.

Le Patio St. Antione is an excellent example of a nice ""off the beaten path"" hotel. It is in the Bastille part of Paris but taking the Metro you feel you are in the middle of Paris. The Metro is nearby and it is easy to use. If you need help the conceirge at the hotel is always there to help. Also restaurant's are everywhere and a wonderful restaurant right next door. I don't intend to stay anywhere else.
