If you're just looking for a place to sleep and make a home-base to attend a ballgame or concert downtown, it would be okay - the Light Rail is right across the street and the bed very comfortable. But if you're looking for a luxury stay, this is not the place. Our penthouse room was clean/no bugs, but needs updating. The towels had frayed edges, the big screen TV had shadows so bad you couldn't watch it - the small TV in the bedroom had a great picture so we had to move chairs into the bedroom. The in-room whirpool tub jets didn’t have much pressure and the water-saver shower was just above a trickle (the toilet had more water pressure!) We awoke at 5 a.m. to the sound of people in the pool and hanky-panky in the hot tub! When they realized guests in the hotel noticed them the girls jumped the fence and left(?!) The advertised restaurant/lounge is only open during the week-not the weekend-and the continental breakfast was subpar. This place could be so much more with updated amenities. We won't be back.

The room was noisy because of some unknow noise coming from who knows where. This hotel is in a very good location and should be remodeled with new rooms. The rooms are outdated. The light rail station is right outside and nesr downtown Phoenix. This hotel has good potenial if the owners would step up to the plate.

I spent 4 nights and found the hotel and staff as good as advertised. Forget all the earlier whining. If you travel alot like I do, you will appreciate the value of this hotel. No, it does not have the "just built" sparkle or high cost frills; it is clean and well appointed with large rooms, strong hot showers, decent cable tv/wifi and bar. It is as close as you might want to be to the center city "action" without all the noise and the cost. Getting to the "action" is 2-3 "couldn't get any easier" light rail stops (<5min). Getting in from the airport is just as easy by light rail.- hotel is right across the street.....so, you save yourself the car rental/parking fee too (week long rail pass is <$20). Breakfast was on the lighter side of "continental" but sufficient to get you to lunch if you are not one to "tie on the feedbag" in the morning. Kudos to the owners for getting this site running right.

We picked the hotel since it is right on the Trax line and only 3 stops from the Convention center. The rooms are very good size. There was the makings of coffee in the room but no coffee maker. The king size bed curved to the middle until we took the mattress off and used a phone book to prop up the broken leg in the middle. Then the bed was good. The room was so dirty around the edges. The pool was small and some what heated. The work out room was empty except for a weight set. The food was good the one night that we ate there. The desk people would have looked more professional if there was some kind of dress code and didn`t spend their time talking on the phone on personal calls. They did have breakfast in the morning that was pretty standard fare.

Would not stay again; although the staff was friendly, one shift did not know what the other shift explained to us; we were given a room not as booked, we had to use two roll aways for the four nights....we purposedly did not want maid service because of the cramped conditions..the hotel was clean which helped and the bar and grill served great food. Because our group was there for a business conference, we endured the hot water taking 20 mins to reach the 8th floor suite, the lack of understanding and correcting our situation left a bad taste and we will not stay again.....we were told this was a 40 year hotel and thus the problems. On the good side the light rail was close, a great restaurant across the street and close to the Convention Center. Just not the quality we expected.
