Live Aqua is an unbelievable experience. From the moment we arrived we were treated as visiting royalty. Greeted by the bellman dressed in white linen we were amazed by the spa atmosphere in the lobby complete with a fountain and aromatherapy. As we waited to check in I was treated to a hand massage. Our room was gorgeous with a spectacular view of the pool area and the ocean. The resort is a true all-inclusive...loved the room service and mini-bar! Food was delicious at all three restaurants. The service was perfect everywhere. We have found that a little tipping is greatly appreciated and results in even better service. Our winter beach vacation is strictly for relaxation so we were not concerned that there is very little in the way of activities. We will definitely go back...CANNOT WAIT!

Date Feb 2010. The check-in process was quite lengthy, about a 30 minute wait until a room was assigned. However, once the room was assigned (on the top floor even) the stay was perfect. The resort is phenomenal! Very clean, beautiful view, good food, and a great location right across from the Isla shopping center for those occasional cloudy times. Perhaps unique to this resort, it appears that EVERY room at this resort has an ocean view. I didn't see any that looked like a lagoon view; which is beautiful too, but can not compare to the ocean view sunrise. The entire staff was very polite and helpful and bartenders do not skimp on the alcohol and do not use low quality well liquor either. The pools were clean and kept at different temperatures so you have a choice of what temperature you want to dip into. They clean the beach every morning and when you walk the beach you find this hotel is one of the few that does this. Excellent stay and the cost was similar to the 3 and 4 star hotel costs. I've vacationed at about 5 or 6 hotels in the area and this hotel is by far my top pick.

Resort was beautiful and our room was fantastic. The room we booked was unavailable (not sure why), so we were upgraded to the Tierra Suite. Huge room, 2 balconies, absolutely amazing views. Front desk staff were overwhelmed upon check-in, they did not have enough people working to handle the number of people checking in, and that promised "cool drink and hand towel" upon arrival were non-existent. The beach was beautiful, the "Adults Only" Pool was great as well. The aromatherapy in the the lobby was overwhelming. Far too strong. The food was so-so at best. Couldn't get a reservation at famed MB restaurant, which was a huge disappointment. We tried making reservations the day we got in (Thursday) and the best they could offer was 10pm Sunday night. Some of the food was undercooked, (breakfast buffet) and there was not alot of variety. Buffet gets old after a day or two. The best food by far was sitting in the lounge by AZUR and ordering off the pool menu. Room service breakfast on our last day was very good as well. Overall, it was a disappointing experience at this hotel.

What a vacation! The service at this hotel is by far the best I have ever received. The staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and make sure you enjoy your stay. We did not have to ask for anything, they already provided for us. As soon as you walk into the hotel you can smell the aromatherapy in the air, and they also provide you with oils in your room for aromatherapy. We would eat breakfast on our private balcony overlooking the ocean...very relaxing. Hotel was very clean and had a great location...a mall across the street, another mall within walking distance and the night club zone was a very short bus/taxi drive away. I would definitely stay here again! Fabulous service. Oh and the food was excellent!!!
