This was a great property, the location is fine (easy to find). The grounds were beautiful and the room was very nice. The walls were a bit thin, but that is the only complaint. The staff was very nice. The courtyard with pool and restaurant are gorgeous. The "gym" was very small, one treadmill, one elliptical and one bike - that's it. I loved it, and for the price, it was amazing.

LOVE this hotel so so so much. The staff is amazing. The casitas are fantastic. The Purple Palm has the best food in PS. And I never left the property once - because why leave heaven if you find it?

The hotel is centrally located and has a pleasing ambience. The rooms were comfortable and clean, although they could have been a little nicer considering the price, but the grounds are pleasing. Two items that were poor. One - some of the staff were less than helpful. In particular the front desk. There was a problem with the reservation and instead of just telling us "look, there is a pproblem with the reservation, but don't worry we can accomodate you at the same price; the staff member chastised us for the error. Two - there is no other way to say this. The service was fine, but the food is uninspired and poorly executed, portions are inadequate and the ingredients were not fresh. Just plain old awful. But the upside is you can easily walk to town and fine an alternative.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and stayed at the Colony Palms. The property was beautiful and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The grounds is well kept with beautiful lush gardens and it provides a sense of tranqulilty. Although, we did not have the opportunity to try the Purple Palms Restaurant, we read many great things in the local publications and the menu seemed appetizing. The staff was very friendly and we definitely recommend the property as a great away!
