Recently we stayed at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Richland, WA, for a soccer tournament and our family was very disappointed in this older facility. There were no cookies on check in and I never found or saw any of Seattle’s best coffee. One of the front counter staff was rude and uncooperative. In addition, our rooms were not as clean as should be, especially the bath room; beds were not very comfortable and pillows were of poor quality. The heater in my daughter’s room did not work when we checked in and the ice maker on our floor did not work. The food at breakfast was also disappointing and breakfast did not open at 6:30 am as stated. I am not what the orange stuff was, but it wasn’t orange juice, the coffee was terrible and the huge bowl of yogurt did not look very appetizing. I faxed my long list of concerns/problems to the manager on two occasions, sent an email to the hotel and called and talked with Ms. X regarding the problems. I also sent an email to the corporate office. I received little short apologizes from both, for what they described as isolated incidents. My recommend, don’t stay at this Clarion or any other Choice Hotel, they don’t care, and they don’t stand behind their 100% satisfaction guarantee. Rob Smith Nampa, ID

The pool was freezing and the ""hot"" tub was luke warm. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired and we chose to eat elsewhere after seeing breakfast!
