The hotel lived up to expectation. Right on the edge of the manic hustle and bustle of the old town. The staff cannot do enough for you and will help you obtain tickets for the water puppet theatre, book tours, draw out a walking route on the map and even go down the road and get you a lemonade if you want one and they don't have one in! They really believe in going the extra mile. We were in a deluxe room which was large, light and spacious. Breakfast is included and ranges from banana pancakes to noodle soup. All very tasty. We ate all over the city and recommend The La for an upmarket (but great value compared to English standards - it's near the lake) meal, Le Pub for great spring rolls and Bo Nam Bo. I do NOT recommend Tandor - the food made me v.ill and it was overpriced and run down. Walk round the lake just to see the flexible 70 year olds doing sit ups by the benches!
