This hotel was wonderful, full of old time charm. The staff was very frieindly and helpful. At first we thought the location was going to be out of the way, far from the attractions of Seattle, but we found out it really was close to everything and we were able to walk everywhere. We took the train from the airport, then the Monorail to the Seattle Center. It was a1/2 mile walk from there to the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and there was kitchenette in the room as well. This was well stocked with cutlery and pots and pans. There was a wonderful food market around the corner and many great restaurants within a couple of blocks. The only thng that was disappointing was the free breakfast-a place this nice could have done much better than granola bars. Anyway, it got us out the door in the morning. If we ever have the good fortune to visit Seattle again, we will go directly to the MarQueen!

We really enjoyed our stay at the historci Marqueen Hotel. It was clean and comfortable and warm for February. It is convienently located near stores, restaurants, and activities in Seattle. We actually walked from the Hotel to the Public Market and back and enjoyed the sights. The only complaint was a little mildew smell when you walk in the front door.

We have stayed in the lower Queen Anne area on several occasions and this was our first stay at the Marqueen. It had quirky charm - a little faded but very large and comfortable rooms. Our kitchenette was well-stocked and quite usable (some rooms have real stoves as ours did). There are wonderful grocery stores and restaurants in the neighborhood - so the choice to eat in or out is an easy one. Public transportation is readily available. We had our own car and used valet parking ($20) and were very pleased at the speed in which the car was brought to us several times each day. All staff were especially pleasant and helpful. Our only complaint was the noise and loud music on weekend nights from the club on Queen Anne Avenue - until 2 a.m. We could not sleep until it closed. We had friends who were in a room that faced another direction and they did not hear the noise. We requested a room away from Queen Anne but none were available. We would not spend another weekend night here if only outer rooms were available - but loved the hotel on the weeknights. We highly recommend it in all other aspects.
