From the valet to the bellman(Ken) to the girl at the front desk(Chablis)to EVERY employee we came across, the service was OUTSTANDING! Chablis graciously found us a room with a better view than what we had reserved...without us even asking. Ken put all our clothing away in the walk-in closet, like it was just a normal part of his job. We had asked for a fridge in our other room, and so when we called down to the desk, it was delivered & plugged in in less than 15 minutes, and then the desk called back to see if it had arrived yet. The room was clean & the linens/mattress was not only clean and free from any sign of bedbugs(paranoid, I ALWAYS check) but the most comfortable bed I

Stayed on a Saturday night. Hotel looked nice. The room was nice too. Bed was comfortable. Was thankful the bathroom was clean and that there were 2 chairs in the room for me and my wife (Date night). Only thing I noticed was a smear on the TV from cleaning the LCD and one light and small spot on the carpet. Minimal in my opinion. The bar and lounge is nice but expensive. Better and more reasonable drinks are found elsewhere a few block away.

The room was clean and comfortable But what was most noticeable was the lack of noise. The room was very quiet. The hotel was not next to the attractions but it had a People Mover stop at the other end of the mal, very convenient.

Great hotel. Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. I discovered that all of the US presidents have stayed here at one time or another! so basically that makes me cool for staying there;) Cons: Internet service in the room was , no smoking rooms were available, no free parking

Nice Hotel
07/18/2009Near all of downtown detroits nightlife, casinos and sporting venues. don't venture out of the tourist areas though. roughly 2 miles in any direction of the hotel is safe.
