I would NEVER stay here again. We came back to our room to find that all our belongings got stolen. The hotel was not helpful at all!!!! You would think they would offer professionalism, concern, or at the least toiletry items, but to our disappointment none of these were offered. We picked the Marriott because of its prestige, but come to find out this particualr one is a franchise. I guess the same rules don't apply to them. Please if you can find another hotel, look elsewhere.

I am very disappointed in how my situation was handled at the Marriott downtown in Los Angeles. On the evening of July 9th, 2010, we came back to our room after a long day to find out that our luggage was stolen from the room. Their lack of concern was very upsetting. We lost almost everything including but not limited to all our clothes, body products, jewelry,etc. We were told to make a list, and they would report the issue to the insurance company. Done end of subject. The lack of concern about how we were even going to make it through the night without certain toiletry items was what upset us the most. Losing all of your belongings when you depend on the hotel as a safe environment is one thing, but to have the staff there not even ask if you need anything or pretend to care is another all together. This was a major inconvenience that put a damper on ever staying at a Marriott again.

Super stay. Very comfortable beds. Employees couldn't have been more accommodating. Very clean. Met one of the managers and he asked how our stay was and wanted to be sure we were happy with our stay. It was just super and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great breakfast buffet, immediate attention from the bell staff, friendly desk staff, and beautiful surroundings.

The Marriott was a fabulous place to stay. The room was beatifully appointed and the view was spectacular. The bed was luxurious, the bath towels were plush, and the amenities were high end. All of the staff members from the front desk, to the wait staff, to the people who take care of the cars, were gracious, kind, and fun to speak with. I would highly recommend this hotel because it made my weekend in LA one of the most memorable that I have had in quite a while. I also have to mention that the food was great, and they also have an adequate variety of wines that are available by the glass.

I was tired and wanted to get a nap in before my meeting that night. I was appalled when I pulled back the covers to see hair. I called the front desk and was told someone would be there immediately to take care of it. Well, an hour later I had to call again to finally get someone there. I got a call the next morning to tell me the whole staff was yelled at, so fearing retaliation I didn't get my room cleaned the rest of my stay. I assume this is the care they give to towels, robes etc... When the car showed up to take me to my meeting it took me 20 minutes to get downstairs due to the one operating elevator. The next day, however, the manager did call to offer me a free breakfast buffet the following day in addition to the free dinner the night manager gave me the night before. The only thing is the night manager didn't offer me anything. After enjoying my 3 pancakes and cup of coffee from the 20 dollar breakfast buffet, I noticed the free buffet coupon was only valid on Saturday or Sunday, I was there from Monday-Wednesday and they wrote that it expired on the day I checked out just to make sure I couldn't use it on a return trip should the rest of the hotels in LA be booked up giving me absolutely no other choices.
