Important Hotel Information
- Guests fly internationally into Belize City and then must schedule a 15-minute flight to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, prior to departing for your trip. This flight can be arranged through Tropic Air 1-800-422-3435 or Maya Island Air 1-800-521-1247. Another option is to take a water taxi to San Pedro information is available at the airport.

The hotel is at best adequate and best described as a "divers" hotel; because divers dont spend much time in the hotel they stay at. Each room is actually a private condo and is adequate and roomy. However, the hotel is located right in the downtown area between the two water tax docks. Lots of foot traffic and noise. Staff was mostly friendly and beach area was actually better than some. If you do stay there, I would advise getting a second or third floor room if at all possible. On our first trip to Belize 7 years ago we stayed at Ramon's Village, which, in my humble opinion, has the best beach on the southern part of the Island; so it is possible my view of the Mayan is somewhat "jaded".
