We spent the weekend here at the beginning of Nov. and we were quite pleased with it. The room was the smallest hotel room we've ever had in NYC, but it was very clean and quiet. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. You just can't beat the location.

I booked a single room which turned out to be the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. However, it was very clean and had a very comfortable mattress. The staff was generally friendly and helpful. Although I was not there as a tourist, the location of the hotel is great for that purpose. It is right in the middle of the theater district and only a short walk to Times Square. It is also a reasonable walk away from Central Park. I would stay here again.

My wife stayed there a few days, 10/18-20. While there she bought some bags of Halloween candy to bring back to her job to share with her staff. The day she went to pack up to catch her plane she noticed a half eaten Snickers and another candybar pulled from a 2nd bag. Upon closer inspection it is only logical to assume this was the work of a rodent of some type (mouse or rat) that had gotten into 2 ofthe 3 bags of candy (I guess they do not like Smarties). On top of that the rooms are extremely small and she was blessed with a twin bed. Needless to say we will not be staying at the mayfair again.

The hotel is located in the middle on the Theater District. The hotel was clean and quiet. However, the rooms are a little on the small size even for NYC. Our view was a ventilator shaft.

I reserved a "twin" room which actually had a double bed in the room. The rooms here are very small. In my room the bed was shoved up against one wall and there was only 2 feet to spare on the other side and a foot at the end--cozy is putting it midly. However, the bed was quite comfortable and the room clean. The location however, cannot be beat. You are in the middle of everything and the staff is really very nice. I would stay here again.
