We had executive suite with kitchenette and pull out couch. Room was ok not 4 star. We had our 3 children with us and they knew this only 4 pillows in the room no blanket for the pull out couch. Called down at 9 for 2 extra pillows and they brought them up promptly. Had a long day of travelling and shopping went to bed at 10:30 phone rings asking how many pillows we had been given! really?? ask the guy who delivered them don't phone us after we have gone to bed. Right under a pretty booming bar on a Saturday noise doesnt bother me or my husband but the kids had a hard time falling asleep. Also the door right below our room to the outside kept smashing all night with the bar patrons going out for cigarettes.

The staff was amazing, free upgrade for our room when they knew it was our honeymoon, compliemtary fruit and wine platter. The Botanica restauraunt was well priced and served awesome food, the breakfast buffet was the best. Room service was fast and polite. Vic's steakhouse a little more pricey and had the best food I ever tasted. Pool and jaccuzi closed so they gave us YMCA passes. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and stay there again. The beds are so comfortable you could sleep in all day.

If you are going to stay at this hotel, stay in the suites. It is in another tower which is quieter. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and worth it. The unfortunate part was we booked through a online travel website, so when we arrived at the hotel. They made us wait for almost an hour because they couldnt find our reservation. Nothing was offered for the delay while we sat with tired kids. Then 2 days later, my son went to turn on the upright lamp and it shorted with sparks flying everywhere, eventually catching on fire. The smoke detector went off and we had to open our door for over an hour to clear the smell ad smoke. We called the front desk and someone came right away to remove it. But no apologies, and again nothing offered for compensation for all the events that happened to our family..We had a very bad experience, especially when your kids tell you that they do not want to stay at this hotel again.

Very Very poor stay. My family of 3 was booked for 3 nights. We left after the first night including a room change due to noise. Our room was in the back "motel" type area, looking into the parking lot. Our package was supposed to have included West Edmonton Mall passes, but the desk staff had no idea about such a package (even though I had the confirmation and package details). They offered to sell me passes instead. Both beds were worn down and you could feel the springs. The walls were so thin we listened to our neighbour's tv until 2am, including adult movies. Housekeeping came into our room at 8:00am and woke us up. Parking was a problem, as the front entrance was under construction and we could not pull up to drop off our luggage. There was no room in the parking lot, as the Mayfield hosts dinner theatre and the lot was full. We had to park on a side street and walk up a busy street with no sidewalks. I asked to speak to the manager, whom did not come to talk to me. The front desk person, gave me an offer to stay, it was not satisfactory.
