This hotel is a good place to enjoy a good relaxed vacation. Close to resturants and nightlife if you prefer either. Shops everywhere and if you like to walk or take a taxi. Youll enjoy the weather. I was there in October last year and will stay again. Just didnt like the surprise of hotel deposit when i arrived. But in all the service is excellent. And nice friendly people.

At first i was kind of skeptical about the positive reviews because of the price of the hotel (very affordable), but i made the reservation anyways.When i got there i was very impressed with the hotel,it doesnt look like a hotel only when you enter you realize its a hotel.The lobby is very clean,the rooms are small but very clean and well kept.Since one only goes to sleep at the hotel,its perfect.There is a hard rock cafe very close,a supermarket also for you personal needs.Security is not an issue, there are tourist Police everywhere,there are some undesirables walking around but nothing some common sense cant resolve.Ive stayed at the Hilton and intercontinental hotels on business but this one is definately an option next time.Check in is a little slow but the service is good and the breakfast is awesome.The bed is good not super but good.Would defianetely recommend.

I stayed at this hotel many times, my latest in April 2009. We found this a delightful place to stay, great breakfast, excellect location and wonderful staff. i feel, if you are not satisfied with this hotel, you should not visit Santo Domingo.

This hotel has an excellent location but the hotel needs renovating. I was booked at this property 7/2-7/6/09 temps at night were in the 80's and the air conditioning did not work the entire time. I was moved to another room and the A/C worked during the day but stopped working at night. The next morning I asked the desk clerk if the air could be fixed. He said the hotel was working on it and it would be fixed in a couple of days. I asked to be refunded for my last night and I would find another hotel. He said I could not get a refund. I asked for the manager and he said he would call and I would get a response by 11pm. This was at 8am in the morning. I told him that this was not acceptable. I needed an answer within 2 hours to reserve another room. When I came back in 2 hours said there was nothing that could be done. I asked to speak with the manager again. He then called him on the phone and said he was coming down. It ends up that the manager lives on the property. The manager was helpful and offered the 4 star sister hotel at the same nightly rate. I accepted. The new hotel was nice but the air conditioning stopped working and had termites swarming around in my room at about midnight. I called the front desk and they moved me to a room with working air.

I stayed at your hotel last October I had a wonderful time. The staff was great friendly and always courteous. I just had one draw back I was charged for bring guest to my room. Because of that I may not be back at your hotel this year.
