The Hotel itself was fine and our room was decent (bathroom was a bit old and run-down and some strange stains on the ceiling) but this place was so noisy that we got no sleep all night! Other guests on either side were fighting and yelling until 10 p.m. and then again at 3 a.m. The people walking overhead were very noisy and made our room shake. The ice machine (near our room) was extremely loud also. Overall this was a very noisy hotel and I would not stay here again.

We stayed there April 2010. This is a great place is you like to step in dog doodle when you come out side to your car. Hey everyone wants to be work up just before 6am with your neighbor taking a shower. And let me tell you the slamming of doors all night was an added pleasure along with a barking dog. We know every time the neighbors had to use the facilities too. The light breakfast was very light, coffee was unmentionable. The bed was comfortable, the towels were more than needed, the room didn't have the advertised refrigerator or microwave, which is one of the main reasons we booked the place.The place was clean, people friendly, but not overly. AND the most disappointing thing---they didn't ask how our stay was, cause I was going to tell them. We travel alot to Anchorage in the winter and have tried different places this year. We will got back to our old reliable place we stay. Kasilof travelers

Clean hotel. Comfortable beds. Hot tub!! I have stayed in most of the hotels in the area at this price and this is the best we have seen. Breakfast was better than expected! We plan on going back.

We have stayed at this hotel 3-4 times per year. It's been excellent until they changed ownership about 18 months ago. Since then the service has been very poor, whirlpool down last 2 times we stayed.etc. Our last time there was in March 2010. We are told we could park our car there for 1 week. (We've always done this). When we arrived from Soldotna we were informed they no longer offer the parking service. When asked why the change ,we were told the "Manager" decided this with no explanation to the staff. Then when I asked where we leave our car we were informed we could take it to park and fly accross the street and the hotel shuttle driver would pick up my husband and bring him back to the hotel. He waited for 25 minutes and finally walked back (crossing the highway). Also I went to the front desk to ask for the owners informantion to write a letter and the same person that told me we could not park on the premises anymore informed me that she called the manager and said we could now park our car if we wanted to but we should be aware the reason the parking had been closed was because 10 cars had been broken into on site over the last 2 months and 2 cars were stolen. We decided to leave the car where it was. Lastly, the gal at the counter ended our conversation by telling me that the manager was now considering to repopen the parking for fur rondy.

Hotel was easy to get to from the airport. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a small suite. Room was clean andthe same goes for the bathroom. Although the hotel was out by itself a good local resturant was within walking distance (about 1 mile). We would stay there again. We were told that the property had be remodeled 6 months ago and you could see that in room carpet and beds. The beds were very comfortable.
