The hotel staff was very unfriendly, I did not hear one staffer say thank you, even when I paid my bill. I had booked through online travel website and they charged me more than the rate I prepaid at online travel website. I had booked 3 adults, 2 children, they charged me for 3 adults and appear to add additional fees for providing an extra cot that was suppose to be in our room when we arrived. We arrived late in the evening and assumed our room would be set up to sleep in and take showers. There was no 5th bed (cot) in the room and we had to contact the front desk 2 times in one hour and flag down a young man from housekeeping to provide a cot?? There were only 4 towels, washcloths and hand towels, our 5th person was not accomodated for even though we paid extra for the 5th person.
The hotel was beautiful, the customer service provided by the hotel staff was bad.
We were definitely disappointed with treatment by the staff - lack of courtesy, service provision and frienliness.
We would not reccomend this hotel for hospitality, but the view of Mt. McKinkley was outstanding!
We were very suprised that a Princess Hotel, which rates are quite high would not spend more to train their staff to be customer service friendly. -

Rooms were nice but we were located in a room where the toilet leaked. Maintenance said they would fix while we were out and it was never repaired. Also, remote controls for the television didn't work. Maintenance left with the remote and never came back with one that worked.

Our extended family of six really enjoyed our stay. The great room and deck in the lodge were the best parts. We spent our days hiking, flightseeing and visiting Talkeetna. In the evenings we played cards in the lodge. Internet connections and cell phone coverage were great also. Loved the coffee bar in the morning.
