Great little hotel with every comfort you could want. Very nice rooms with exceptional detail. You really should up date the information in that the hot tub on the roof has been replaced with an outside smoking deck and the Winchester Cafe has been called the Bistro they said for six years now. The food was just great; a lot of local lamb, beef, vegies etc prepared with imagination. I am a foodie and it really was good. But, your discription of the hotel does not do it justice because it is a rare little gem with a cool hand operated Otis elevator. It is like taking a step in the past yet still having wireless internet and LCD T.V.'s!

Livingston is a, quaint, small town in a beautiful part of the country. The hotel staff, along with the rest of the towns people, were all very friendly. From the adjoining bar, to the railroad depot cafe, to the chop house, (all in easy walking distance) we were greeted with smiling faces, excelent food and drink, and all in a comfortable setting. We came for my niece's wedding and fell in love with a part of America most of us never experience. I highly recommend the town of Livingston and the hotel Murray is definitely the place to stay.

I'm a Livingston native--my family and friends have since moved away--and this is a great find. The hotel has undergone many changes over the years, and I was glad to have discovered that many of the rooms have been restored to their historic roots. We loved the original wood and fixtures, and the bedding was great as well. And, few places have a better location in Livingston. This is the only Livingston hotel we'll stay at when we visit.
