I recently stayed for 4 days. It's a good location (5 minute walk to Grafton Street, 10 minutes to Temple Bar and Dublin Castle, 15-20 minutes to Guinness Storehouse). Aircoach bus from Dublin airport leaves you 5 minutes away. Entire staff (management, desk clerks, bartenders) was very friendly and helpful. Hotel room was normal. Great price for the hotel, got more than I paid for. Only one small complaint in that being the walls seem kind of thin. Other than that, it was definitely worth staying here and I would stay again.

This hotel is in an excellent location - about 4 blocks from a Hop On-Hop Off Bus Stop and 3 blocks from Grafton Street, with its many shops, restaurants, and pubs. The front desk was very helpful with directions, etc. My only negative comment would be that apparently they did not have bellboy service. We had to carry our own bags upstairs. The rooms are very nice by European standards; quite large. A word of advice - forget the breakfast buffet. Since our rooms were not ready upon arrival at 8:00 a.m., we decided to try the breakfast buffet. I think we paid $* Euros (for 2)!!! For that price, I would have expected a lavish buffet. This one was definitely not - just 5 or 6 hot items and several cold items. Definitely not worth the price.

This is the perfect hotel if you'd like to explore the beautiful city of Dublin. It is just a block down Grafton Street, which is the place to go for all your shopping needs! It's also located near one of the LUAS stations. It is also a 15 minute walk to the Pearse St. train station if you want to venture out of Dublin for awhile. The rooms are perfect for those who want to get the most out of their vacation, i.e. exploring the city and as much of the country. The room service is excellent and the front desk staff are very courteous and extremely helpful. There is a bar and resturant in the hotel as well. O'Callaghan's was the first hotel I've stayed in outside the U.S. and it was a great experience. I highly recommend it!

Perfect location, There is so much within walking distance. Only blocks from downtown, shopping, pubs, etc. Dublin has great transit and the bus is just a very short walk. It is only a few minutes by bus to Dublin Castle, museum, and all kinds of historic sights. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, The room and restuarant were nice. We really enjoyed our stay at O Callaghan

The hotel staff was most accomodating. We arrived very early in the morning and within 15 minutes our room was ready. In fact, we enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee in the restaurant/lounge area while we waited. It was excellent. The staff helped us organize our trip to the Wicklow Mtns. They even printed out a train schedule when we asked about traveling down to Kerry by train. One staff member named X took the time to leave a note in our room about our tour the following day, making sure we knew the trip was confirmed. Outstanding service! Excellent location! Short walk to Grafton Street. It's not the Shelbourne - but go there for drink - what a gorgeous place where the celebrities and the rich and famous hang out. Can't wait to go back to this hotel. And, the bar stays open for hotel guests until 2:00 AM. So, on the way home from an evening out, you can enjoy a night cap at the bar. Thanks everyone! Colleen and Chris from New Jersey.
