My wife and I wanted a cheap Cancun vacation, and we got one at the Oasis America. While we were there, the hotel was under construction and the staff wasn't really helpful. Upon our arrival, there was no restaurant or bar around to delight our "all-inclusive" package with. They had one restaurant, but was pretty scary. After the first night, we awoke to find our room completely flooded. I mean 3 inches deep of water. The staff didn't know what to do, so we requested a transfer to another Oasis hotel in the area. They said they couldn't help us. So little to no food, leaky rooms, a scary location in the middle of nowhere and a useless staff made our stay terrible. Though it seems cheap and boasts of "all-inclusive" packages and free privileges at the other Oasis hotels, I would just opt to pay a couple more bucks to go to the Oasis Cancun, which is on the beach and a much nicer hotel with REAL all-inclusive stuff.

08/20/2007Room was dirty, they sprayed for roaches in our room while we were there, the sink had a big crack in it, the tub drain was loose, there were beggars ...
Room was dirty, they sprayed for roaches in our room while we were there, the sink had a big crack in it, the tub drain was loose, there were beggars out front all day, the front street was dirty, brown water came out of the tap when the water first comes on. Bad neighborhood to be in, especially after dark.

There's no fitness center, only one place to eat and that was buffet only, no live entertainment, bars never open on time and close early. 3 of 3 bartenders didn't know how to make a margarita. When confronted they got mad and rude. No outside calls from room allowed. All in all - very dissatisfied. Not worth all inclusive price.

This hotel is excellent, especially for the cost. Yes, it isn't on the beach, but you can visit the beach for free at one of the other Oasis hotels, and they are only 10 minutes away. AFterall, there's not much to do on a beach at night. This hotel is close to everything and you get a closer look at the culture. This hotel is a must see.
