A large disappointment. Booked room in July for stay in Oct, 2010 Room we were put in was on the lower level facing the public restroom on the parking lot of the beach! Noisy Room was musty smelling, and dingy. Common room for wine/cheese and breakfast was cluttered and cheerless. Breakfast was cold cereal, or pastries. THIS was NOt a B&B experience. Person who checked us in could not have been less interested in making our stay a positive experience-listening to loud music and pre-occupied with other things in the office.

This was a great little find right next to the beach and pier in Cayucos. The hospitality was warm an friendly, our room was huge with all the luxury amenties, the food was delicious. Will definitely be staying there again!

My wife and I wanted a nice cozy bed and breakfast near Cambria and Morro Bay. We also wanted something as close to the beach as possible. We found this place which is litterally 50 ft. from the water and pier. The staff was accomadating in everyway and we met some really wonderful people both staff and travelers like us. Every morning there is a continental breakfast at 8:00am and a full specialty homemade breakfast at 9:00am. Heather was our chef every morning and also prepared the hor' dourves in the evening and a delightful desert at night. She is a great cook and a very fun and nice person who made our visit very memberable. Everyone on staff was great!!! We were very pleasantly supprised by the service and smiles from all that we encountered. We were even given some cards for free wine tasting and great advise of where to dine. If you have a chance visit HOPPES their food is amazing!! I had the rack of lamb that was by far the best I've ever had. The room we had was considered a partial view because although it faced the ocean it had a bathroom for the beach area that obstructed some of our view. But because of this our room was about $* - $* cheaper a night then one that was directly next to it. The room was clean and well maintained. Cayucos is still very much a small beach community especially compared to Morro Bay and Cambria. But it is a great location to visit all of the areas there. It is only about 15 miles from Cambria and 5 miles from Morro Bay. There are also over 200 wineries in the general area and each community has some wine tasting there as well.
