During our stay in this hotel from 8/2/09 thru 8/12/09, we changed rooms three times due to various uncorrectable problems. First night, A/C was having problem. But then at midnight our bedroom ceiling fan died. Next day they moved us to a different room. Soon after moving we found out the toilet would not flush and the living room fan is about to die. We were moved to third room. This room had no major issue except every morning there will be no water to wash, or to shower or anything. Sometime in the middle of taking shower water will stop flowing without any advance notice. The management said the city is working on water pipeline and they have no control over that.

We stayed at Outrigger Royal Kahana Resort for our honeymoon in October 2008. We spent 7 beautiful and amazing days in Maui and it was not enough! The resort was undergoing renovations when we arrived. (Travelocity had made us aware of this prior to our trip.) Despite having no lobby area, the resort was still easily accessible. The staff was courteous and friendly. Our condo was cleaned as often as we requested and fresh towels were made available daily. There was a light burnt out in the bathroom, but that was the extent of our complaints. The view was absolutely breathtaking. Our condo offered a full kitchen with all necessary utensils and appliances, as well as a washer and dryer. The location was minutes from Lahaina and there was tons of shopping and dining. The resort offers a welcome seminar where you can sign up for and get discounts on activities on the island. That was extremely helpful for newbies like us! We had an amazing trip and we plan to come back someday soon!

This is the first time we stay at a condominium so I was very happy about it since I have 2 kids. It's very helpful to have a kitchen there. I agree with some previous reviews about the carpet; it was really dirty, which you can't tell until you see your feet or socks after walking a few minutes. Also the wind blew through the windows so loud that it sounded like a tornado, it was annoying at night when everything else was quiet. But, the only thing I complained about with the front desk was the curtains. They were so disgusting; they were very dirty and they couldn't change them. They offered to change us to another room, but it's such a hassle after you have settled up, so we decided to stay in there. So just make sure to check your room and curtains before you unpack if you are staying in this hotel.
