We stayed here for two nights in early July, 2010 in a top-floor king. We had originally planned to stay in the downtown area, but most hotels gouge their guests on parking fees or force them to park a block away in a public lot. This hotel is on Hayden Island, about 10 minutes from downtown Portland, although the drive was considerably longer in afternoon commute traffic. The hotel was quiet with a decent sized room, that included a pull-out couch and writing desk. The complimentary breakfast includes cooked-to-order eggs and enough variety to please kids and adults alike. The hosted evening reception includes two free drinks (beer, wine or soda) and appetizers that leave something to be desired. The staff was helpful and courteous. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for your Portland visit.

My boyfriend flew in from the UK to visit for 2 weeks. Rather than stay here with family, we opted to stay at the Oxford for those 2 weeks. The hotel was perfect for everything that we needed..close to visit family, large comfortable room, incredible breakfasts and helpful staff. We loved it so much we're looking at doing it again this winter/spring.

My husband and I met some friends in Portland to visit and view the Christmas lights. I must say, this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and we have traveled all over the country. The staff (everyone from manager to maid) was super, super friendly and helpful. Our room was huge, clean, and extremely comfortable. The morning breakfast and evening appetizers are very good and filling. The room rate was very low and worth every penny. The hotel shuttled us to and from the MAX. All in all, I do not have one compliant except that if there is an Oxford Suites in the area where we plan to travel, I would not stay anywhere else; therefore, we will never try another hotel chain unless an Oxford Suites is not available. Thanks Oxford staff for a trip that will be well remembered. Keep up the great work. Rest assured, we will be back!!

We spent the weekend here with our 2 teens & 1 elementary student. The rooms were clean & large enough to comfortably accodomade all of us. The complimentary full breakfast & dinner reception was great for our budget & the food was actually good! The staff was EXTREMELY friendly, helpful, & courteous. This place is very service-oriented. What makes it even better is that there are lots of shops & restaurants in close proximity. This is a great place to stay. We plan to be lifetime patrons! I would definitely recommend this hotel!
