The hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel charming. When I couldn't get in the room when I arrived at 2 a.m. because of a faulty lock, I did have to wake my daughter (who was auditioning the next morning) up to get in. Seems, perhaps, the on-duty staff might have a means for getting into rooms where the battery has failed on the door. I realize they would have put me in a different room, except...my daughter was in there! They did fix it immediately the next morning. I would definitely stay there again! The shuttle service was great as well!

When we arrived at the hotel there was convenient parking right behind the building. Although non-descript from the outside, the inside was just beautiful. From the lobby with its 2 flat-screen tv's and multiple computer terminals to the surprisingly large room with 2 double beds, fridge, flat screen and vintage-inspired bathroom my family was very happy with the choice. We were very close to the restaurant we had chosen for dinner and were only minutes from the SU campus. Had breakfast in the cafe in the lobby which was very good and inexpensive. We'll absolutely stay again if we return to Syracuse.

The Parkview is a small (6 floors) hotel within healthy walking distance of Syracuse University. It's not a luxury hotel - and is beginning to show its age - but is very comfortable with spacious rooms. There's parking and a charming coffee shop on site, but no other eateries are nearby. The heating mechanism - same as the air conditioning - is noisy, but effective.

My daughter was auditioning for the musical theater program at Syracuse Univ. Staying at the Parkview proved to be the perfect location. The Syracuse Stage theater was only a block away. We could walk to the audition as welll as to nearby restaurants (highly recommend Phoebe's). The hotel was lovely and the staff was very helpful and courteous. The room was comfortable and attractive. Beds were great. We were very happy. They provide an airport shuttle as well, so it was a perfect choice.
