The hotel was nice, especially for being right next to the freeway. The A/C unit was a disaster; it did not make the room cool but ran on and on all night. The pillows were very uncomfortable. The front desk people were very helpful. Easy access on and off the freeway, with dinning very convenient.

Traveling with 2 children (age 11 and 14) we were trying to book a room that was truly a "suite". We booked the double queen room thinking that there would be a couch with a fold-out bed in the livingroom area. Well there was no couch...just a very small loveseat. And quite frankly...there isn't really a livingroom area. The photos show a separation between the bedroom area and the livingroom area (with a pony wall.) There was no half-wall separation. One of our children slept on the bed while the other slept on the lsmall oveseat. The room was not spacious and it was truly a disappointment. This is the first time we have been disappointed with web. Also the pool, jacuzzi and fitness area is a joke. The photos make them look large. They are all very tiny.

Went to Portland for a wedding the of July and stayed 4 days at the Phoenix. Our room backed up to a gas station and although I expected to hear some noise, there was none. Many great restaurants right across the street, a 3 minute walk at most. Breakfast buffet was excellent with perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, a make your own waffle iron, fresh fruit, many juices and of course, bagels, toast, muffins,cereal and much more. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Very safe area and great and helpful emlpyees.

Our room was quite comfortable and the staff at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a surprise as we thought it would be just cold food. My husband loves biscuits and gravy so he was happy to eat at the hotel instead of going out. We would definitely stay there again. Plus, we liked that it was a dog friendly place.

Stayed only one night but it was great, the bed is very comfortable and the room was spacious. Great breakfast and coffee next morning for free. Pool was heated but water appeared cloudy? Still, very nice! Staff helpful and quick to respond.
