Potawatomi Hotel & Casino Review Jump to comments
Potawatomi has big plans for 2024. As part of a $190 million renovation, four additional gaming areas will be added as well as a $15 million VIP room that’s designed with diamond players in mind, including a show kitchen, entertainment stage and high-limit gaming tables. As part of the renovation, in summer 2023, the hotel opened Cream City Coffee Co., a new Marketplace dining hall, and Rock & Brews, a rock-music themed restaurant from KISS legends Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. And on Sept. 1, the opening of the third floor’s new gaming and VIP area, which is the second phase of the renovation, was revealed.
ElevenHundred, will also include a dozen blackjack tables, roulette tables and craps tables. The space will also feature 600-plus slot machines, which will bring the total slot count to 3,000.
Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino features more than 1.1 million square feet of space and is one of the largest Indian casinos in the U.S. It is owned and operated by the Forest County Potawatomi Community, which opened the Canal Street casino on March 7, 1991. The Menominee Valley property features a total of 500 guest rooms spread across its two towers, which includes an additional 119 standard rooms that joined the existing 381 with the completion of the new 19-story wing in August 2019.
The $100 million investment and 180,000-square-foot wing also include another roomy 1,600-square-foot top-floor suite, the Chairman's Suite, along with more meeting space and the first spa in the Menomonee Valley, Ember Salon & Spa, complete with a barbershop and salon. Potawatomi's dining venues and bars serve everything from the finest in steaks and seafood to the delectable tastes of Asia, comfort food and quick-service dining options from Potawatomi Marketplace, along with the tastiest craft cocktails and the best wine.
Gaming amenities include a 5,000 square foot off-track betting center and a 1,350-seat Bingo Hall, nearly 100 gaming tables, including a 20-table poker room, over 2,500 machines, electronic blackjack, progressives and more, and the city's very first sportsbook which opened in March 2023. The location of the sportsbook is temporary, however, with the larger, permanent book coming soon to the space formerly occupied by Northern Lights Theater and The Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill. In total, it stacks up to more than 180,000 square feet of gaming space.
This place is not to be missed if you're passing through Milwaukee, and for the avid gambler, you will want to have it on your must-see list.
The Forest County Potawatomi Community also run the smaller Potawatomi Carter Casino Hotel in Wabeno, Wisconsin.

In the spacious Atrium gaming area on the third floor, you’ll find the Buffalo Lightning Link slot machine, along with 633 slot machines and 16 table games, which surround the ElevenHundred Bar & Lounge where there is bar-top gaming.
The 1,350-seat Bingo Hall features a 500-seat, non-smoking area, complete with large TV monitors. Guests can choose traditional paper games, or the newest in electronic bingo. Glow Party Bingo sessions are held the last Saturday of the month and feature state-of-the-art lights and sound.

The Kentucky Derby and the rest of the Triple Crown races are shown in the OTB Room.
The new Potawatomi Sportsbook took its first bets on the last day of March 2023. Milwaukee's very first sportsbook is located on the casino's first floor near the former Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill space and offers a full sports bar and betting experience, complete with more than 24 screens broadcasting the day's biggest sporting events along with the betting odds and lines, 17 self-serve betting kiosks available 24/7 throughout, as well as an in-person counter where an attendant will take your bets on just about every sport, team, player and game. In addition to bar-top gaming and cocktails and a variety of brews, sportsbook's full-service bar also offers a small menu of snacks ranging from soft pretzels to American Wagyu beef hot dogs, three types of panini and Milwaukee cheesesteak.
Self-service betting kiosks can also be found on the building's second level as well. Situated just off to the right side of the skywalk connecting the casino to its parking structure, these bonus kiosks offer gamblers the opportunity to place quick bets while on the go, complete with 20-minute parking designated for these drive-up bets.
The newly opened location is a temporary one as Potawatomi Hotel & Casino continues work on the sportsbook's future home coming soon to the former Northern Lights Theater and The Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill space located nearby. According to the GM, there will be a 120-foot screen with a broadcasting studio on the second level with expanding windows that open up to the sportsbook.
