  I stayed here for a week recently and really enjoyed it. You may be able to find cheaper places to stay in Kiev, but this hotel has a great location on a beautiful tree-lined street and is a very nice and romantic place to stay. Great service; nice, clean, comfortable and quiet rooms, and a friendly, helpful staff. It is within walking distance of the opera, shopping, the botanical gardens, and government buildings. There is a delicious buffet breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit, omlets made on the spot, smoked salmon, any and every kind of juice and cereal, great coffee. They have two nice restaurants in the restaurant, the Terracotta and a new Japanese restaurant. I ate at both and had great meals. Nice wine selection at each. There is a lot of business conducted at the hotel, and the lobby bar is a fine place for an after-opera drink and snack; they have nice piano music, and you also get to watch nonstop, 24-hour Ukranian business deals in action. The fitness center is clean and has new equipment. The staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful, from the cleaning lady to the doorman to the concierge to the waiters and waitresses.
