We spent a night here on our way to Denali. The hotel is quite old and seedy. The passages felt dark and bit unsafe. In the morning, the cleaning crew went around knocking on doors to check if patrons were checking out that day which I thought was rather odd. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Quality inn is now a suspect brand to me because of this hotel.

With one exception,the desk reception staff was overstressed and under welcoming and slow. The shuttle driver was a gem. Good humor and willing to take you anywhere you needed., but there is a fee for places other than the airport or downtown. Continental Breakfast was not bad, with scrambled eggs as an option, but again a smile was on the endangered list. Carpets were filthy and should just be replaced. I understand in a snowy and muddy clime they are hard to keep clean, but it is clear that NO effort is made to do so and this continues from public areas into the rooms. Beds were comfy and clean, but bathroom had a bit of mold and a stained tub. Location is good for airport, but late-night shuttle from there to hotel was very slow in arriving. Old and simple is OK, but filthy and unfriendly are not worth going back for. Tip: Go to the Alaska Visitor Center form great ideas on where to go and what to see and for discounted tickets to attractions.

Wireless internet was horrible. Only one router for the whole hotel. Rooms were very old and outdated. Beds were like sleeping on rocks, extremely uncomfortable. Only nice thing i can say about this hotel was the 46" flat screen t.v.
