  We stayed here while we were in St. Charles visitng family. The service was great, the pool was awesome, and the hotel was near many area restaurants. The breakfast was huge and offered scrambled eggs and belgian waffles. I would definitly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to St. Charles.

  Used the Do Not Disturb sign in the key slot until we departed for the day at 11:00 am. About 10 minutes prior to leaving, informed maid that we would be gone in about 10 minutes. I removed the DND sign when we left the room. Six hours later we returned and the room and never been touched. Beds not made, towels not replaced, etc. Went to the front desk and what should have happened with the manager was an apolgy and a "we'll take care of it right away." What actually happend was a litany of excuses from 1) It was a light day and the staff was probably gone by noon, 2) I had a Do Not Disturb posted when the staff went by, 3) Would you like to change rooms? [Yeah, that's what I wanted to do was pack up all of our stuff and move to another room]. My response - "Clean the room now" The night maintenance man had to clean the room. The manager should have to do it.

  We were going to stay here three nights, but could only stand it for one. We switched hotels after the first night, to the fairfield inn which was very nice. The Quality inn had an old bed. There were stains on the walls, bed, floor, ceiling, and Cigarette burn marks all over the sink, and don't forget the smell. Please stay at the fairfield if you are in the saint charles area, it is only 10 dollars more per night. The lady at the fairfield said they get about 2 to 3 people a day switching to thier hotel from the Quality Inn.

  The hotel was easy to find and had a very friendly staff. The breakfast was good in the morning. The rooms were large and it was nice to have a microwave and fridge in the room. I would definitely stay there again. Easy access to the main roads and close to good eating places. For the money this is a good place.
