My wife and I have stayed here many times. It is operated by St. Norbert College, and is a facility built as lodging for campus visitors - people attending seminars, parents visiting on weekends, alumni coming to football games, that sort of thing. But it is far from dormitory accommodations. While larger suites are available, we have always had standard rooms, which we find to be spacious enough for our needs - there's even enough room for a sofa. The rooms are cleverly laid out, with a large built-in desk, and a second bathroom counter area outside the bathroom in addition to one in the bathroom (a great touch when two people are getting ready in the morning). The rooms have large windows and are bright and clean. Really, about the only bad thing about the rooms are that they only have shower stalls, not entire bathtubs. Amenities are acceptable, but a little lacking. There is no pool (although you can walk to the city pool in summer), and the exercise room is small. The breakfast room is small, and the complimentary breakfast offered is not as extensive as what is offered at some other mid-range properties - basically, a continental breakfast, which is more than enough, buit you won't get pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausages, and the like. There is free wi-fi, free cookies at night (delicioius!), and parking is right across the street. The area can be a little loud at night due to the proximity to student housing. But otherwise, the location next to campus is great for taking walks, and a bustling Main Street with shops and restaurants is only two blocks to the north. The hotel is staffed by both permanent employees and yearly student help. We have always been treated well by both.

Thank goodness we only stayed 1 night!!! The walls are so thin you can hear EVERYTHING!!! serivce was poor, we sat in the bar for 1 1/2 hrs and not 1 person stopped by our table to see if we wanted anything, which is ok NO TIP for them we just got up and got our own THANKS. Guess it's ok to stay if you don't want to sleep. And I was looking forward to the sleep # bed but it didn't matter because I was unable to sleep. Breakfast buffet is ok if you don't mind not having a drink or maybe you are suppose to bring your own who knows, If your out for a late night and don't mind it loud this would make a great place to stay otherwise STAY AWAY!!!

I tried to check in to hotel at 1:45pm and was told room was not ready, I can fully understand since check in time was 3:00pm. Clerk took my cell phone number and said she would call when ready. I went to the adjoining Casino until 3 then went back to check on my room. There was a line of people getting checked in so I waited when I got to counter was told my room was still not ready???? I had to wait another 40 minutes while other people were getting checked in. Went to dinner at the buffet and had to wait to be seated while host joked with 2 waitresses. Went to bar later and was busy, 3 bartenders were there only 1 was working, the other 2 were standing there, finally gave up and went to room. The next morning at 10:30 am maids were knocking at door to get in to clean (where were they the day before?). Check out time was 11:00 am. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was cold, despite turning up the thermostat, and the towels felt like sandpaper. Later, when I complained, they admitted that there was a problem with the computer system for the heat and that the towels were scratchy because of a water softener problem. The only thing they offered us was $50 off our next stay... as if that's going to happen!
When we checked in, the Front Desk person gave us general directions to our room, no map, or anything and the place is huge! The pool/hot tub area was closed for repair so that was not even an option, yet they charged us the standard rate for the night!
