We stayed only two nights - in town for a funeral. Both days we had to make a trip back down to the front desk because our key cards stopped working. Just a little inconvenient not to be able to get back into your room when you wanted to. Also, the restaurant's wait staff messed up our breakfast order considerably. Forgot one meal altogether. So, one person had to sit and watch the rest eat while waiting for their food. However, the food was good.

My daughter attends NAU so I've stayed at a number of hotels/motels in Flagstaff. The Radisson Woodlands is my favorite so far in the moderate price range. Location is close to campus and far enough from the train tracks. The staff is friendly and efficient. Rooms have always been clean but do not have refrigerators or microwaves. The sleep number beds are awesome! The complimentary breakfast buffet is pretty good considering it's a buffet. My only complaint would be that we only got two complimentary breakfasts even though we had three people staying in the room. We've taken advantage of the outdoor heated pool & spa, indoor spa, sauna and workout facilities. All were well maintained. When I commented on the lack of newspaper machines I was offered a complimentary USA Today which was left at my door the next morning. I guess you have to request one since they only get so many copies. This is the only place in Flagstaff that we've stayed at more than once so I guess that says something!

First, they have a "Hospitality Promise" claiming that if anything goes wrong that they will make it right. They need a disclaimer - does NOT apply if you use a "3rd party vendor" like travel on line First, I had reserved a King, when we got there it was a room with 2 Queens. They wouldn't fix it because we used "a 3rd party vendor". Sleep number beds a re NOT comfortable. My husband and I slept in the 2 seperate beds because we tossed and turned so much! We asked if we could get a refund on our 2nd night and they said "no, because we used a 3rd party vendor......" Then the airconditioner is so loud and kicks on and off like every 3 minutes. I mean it is louder than those cheap units you find in lower priced hotels. You won't believe it. Bring ear plugs! You can't open your window to keep the room cool because they don't put screens on the windows. If you eat breakfast in the restaurant, order off of the menu. Don't get the buffett. They automatically charge you a tip, and ALSO another fee of almost * on top of the breakfast for you to get your own food and coffee. You get either over cooked or runny eggs (depends on when they refill the pan) greasy limp bacon, burned potatoes and make your own toast. The lounge was nice but ends up being a holding room for the waiting guests to get into the restaurant so it gets hard to get good service in there. The hotel looks nice and the room was really nice and clean, but if you are looking for a place to relax, get a good nice sleep and have good service - this isn't it.

We can't say enough good things about the Radisson. They were very accommodating when we asked to change our room the first night (noise from a nearby elevator). And then on Saturday, rain prevented a family picnic at the park after our granddaughter's high school graduation. The Radisson made a room available to us, no charge. And it's a lovely place centrally located. We will definitely stay there when we visit Flagstaff again.
