01/05/2009No one!!!! as soon as i got to my room, i discovered dust on my dresser, under the tv. i called the front desk letting them know. the lady first ...
NO ONE!!!! As soon as I got to my room, I discovered dust on my dresser, under the TV. I called the front desk letting them know. The lady first offered me another room then changed her mind and said she'd send someone to clean it. I let it go and asked if they could wipe the inside bathroom window as well because it had something smeared on it. The maintenance man came up and completed both requests. Later, I noticed gnats flying around in the bathroom and my friend with me saw 2 dead gnats by the bathtub! Yuck!! Then, I was sitting on the bed watching TV and my friend walked over to grab something. She picked it up and there on the floor was a ROACH. Same night another one was crawling on the wall! We both screamed and stood there in shock. Crazy! I called the front desk. She insisted they renovated and basically called me a liar. I called the manager to explain what happened and he was horrible to deal with, wouldn't call me back and when he did, acted as if he knew nothing of what I had previously told him. He insisted I was wasting time by asking him if there was someone else I could speak to that would help me. He later told me they found the roach and offered me 25% off one night (not satisfactory). I refused to accept that so I went to the hotel chain and complained to them. They then, gave me a more feasable refund. I have never in my life experiened service such as this. From 5 star hotels on down to motels, I have never seen gnats, roaches or inhospitable customer service. This hotel blows...

We had an opportunity to spend some time in NYC while waiting for a cruise. The hotels location is close to most of what we wanted to see. The Italian resturant next door to the hotel was excellent. The breakfast was quite satisfactory once you found the breakfast room.
Our room was small but clean. I'm not used to a small room for a fairly high price. I suppose that this is the usual for NYC. -
