After seeing the most recent reviewer say the hotel was horrible, we didn't know what to expect but had no choice but to stay at the Ramada on a busy summer weekend, when we hadn't planned ahead and had our dog with us. The Ramada was the only hotel that had an open room --- and that made us wonder all the more! But we were quite pleased with our experience there. The room was nicely furnished (although the carpeting was a bit odd, beige with colored stripes running through it to form irregular squares), clean as a whistle, and reasonably spacious. The bed was firm but not too hard. The bathroom was plain, with that plastic faux marble for a countertop. Good towels, a shower curtain hung on a curved rod to make room in the tub for the plus-sized, with a strip of clear plastic at eye level for the claustrophobic. The usual heater/AC unit on the outside wall. Windows run the length of the outside wall and can actually be opened. The TV was your average set, worked well, with a functioning remote. There was a recliner, small clean refrigerator and a valuables safe. Decent lighting. I'd only ding them on a couple of things: there were only two pillows, and they were both very hard. One was thinner than the other so at least you could choose how thick your hard pillow would be. Also, the in-room coffee was pretty bad, and I'm not that critical about coffee, so if you care about your coffee you'll probably hate this stuff. And they had forgotten to stock the creamer, sugar, etc. for the coffee. Fortunately for me, I drink it black. If you bring a pet, they charge an extra $*.

We booked at the Ramada for a last minute trip so ended up paying $ with taxes included. We booked a non-smoking room with a king bed. When we arrived in the room it smelled strongly of smoke and mildew. Two out of the five lamps in the room would not turn on. The coffee maker was in pieces. The room was quite dirty, with the floor not vacuumed and grease smudges on the mirrors. We called the front desk and requested another room which the front desk was able to accommodate. Upon arriving into the second room this room also smelled. There were crumbs and dirt all over the floor, we even found a gum wrapper and a penny! There was dust all over everything and there was another light that would not turn on. The lamp shades were stained and dusty. Our sheets were stained, one of our towels had a crusty spot on it and the worst part was that the inside of the shower curtain was completely covered in mold and dirt streaks. At this point we had pre-paid the hotel on travelocity and had an event to be at so we gave up on switching rooms again or getting another hotel. We did not use the shower and just tried not touch anything.

I had to travel on business to Vermont and NH and decided to stay here. I normally stay at business class hotels like Marriott or Hampton but decided to take a chance here to save some money for my company. I was pleasantly surprised by the rate $64.99 and the well appointed all inclusive king room. I had good internet connection (free) and a very quiet and comfortable room. The indoor pool was great, specially the dry sauna afterwards. Just the way we in Russia like it. Light breakfast was included and it was thotful of them to have fresh fruits also. I have never stayed at a red roof inn hotel before but have decided to stay with them in future.
