We went for a quick weekend trip to the coast and stayed here. I thought the king size bed was very comfy but the husband thought it was to soft. Our room looked out over the back of the hotel and had a bit of oceanish view ( high tide). Connecting room door seemed a bit thin but as far as noises it was minimal. Hotel was clean and seemed well taken care of. Will gladly stay here again. Very easy to find as it is right on 101 coming into town from the north. Dining was just across the street. "Fast food" and sit down.

Front desk was not as friendly and professional as I expected, but definitely got the job done. Room had pet fur on the carpet and dirty glasses under the bed along with a discarded belt from a previous guest. Some of the lights in the room were burnt out, and there were handprints on the full length mirror on the door to the bathroom. The cable also had a fuzzy picture. But aside from that, the stay was pleasant enough. The restaurant downstairs had an excellent salad, and I enjoyed the heated pool and the fitness room.

If coming from north, TURN AT V STREET! Two blocks to road across bay, I used it to get to Arcata. Plenty of towels.My room was the last one and had a view of the pool water pump house, but hey it wasn

We were very nicely surprised by the comfort of the room and accomodations. It was clean and the bathroom was recently remodeled with nice appointments. We did not eat in the hotel so I can not comment on the food. The only drawback to our room which was on the ground floor was the noise from the other guests going to and from their rooms. We also happened to be across from the vending machines where the young people made a lot of noise getting midnight snacks. Next time I would be on a different floor.

My family and I stayed here in order to drive to see the redwoods and hang out on the beach. Hotel was clean. Room was pretty spacious compared to others Ive been in. No issues with the room. We were on the "bay" side which is mostly a view of run down buildings with the bay at the top of the horizon. Hotel is right on the freeway which shrinks down when driving through the town so easy to spot and get on/off road. Breakfast buffet was good with a variety of foods. Didnt try the restaurants. There are a lot of homeless people around the town and not a whole lot to do here. The beach was nice. The pool is right in front of the lobby so everyone can watch the swimming and the pool was supposed to be heated but was not very warm at all though the weather here is cool all the time. The hotel was good for the money and other than the pool I didnt have issues with the hotel itself, but if you are on vacation, I would recommend another location if you are looking for more than a beach to hang out on. I found when driving just north of the border into Oregon that the towns are cleaner and weather seemed to be better.
