After finally getting to our room after checking in, we had found dirty towels on our counters in our room. We also noticed that we had kindly requested a microwave and fridge for an additional cost, we understood this was only a request, we had only recieved a fridge and wanted to make sure that the micro was not just overlooked. We tried to call the front desk, but neither of the phones worked in our room. We tried to check to make sure the were plugged in to the wall and the both were. We had walked down stairs and down the stretch of building and to the next building that the office was in. We waited our turn in line. The young girl at the front desk, that we asked questions and told her the issues we had in our room was very unapropriate, descending, and rude. The Maintenance staff were very kind, as well as the weekend cleaning staff and Libbys Resturaunt staff. As for the overall experience at this hotel, it was not at all we would have expected from a Red Lion Hotel or any hotel. We stay at hotels in the area for the weekend about twice a month for the past 2 years. I have found the overall hotel accomidations in general to be the 2nd worse out of all the hotels I have stayed at.

The room was big and the bed comfortable. The refridgerator didn'twork and someone left something in there which really smelled. The air conditioner was held together by duct tape but worked good. Hard to find a parking space after 9 due to the bar patrons. Not worth the price. Will not stay there again.

Red Lion must have ""pity rooms"" which is where we were placed. I have had better accommodations with ""cheap"" hotels. Their was a coffee pot, hair dryer and a TV. No internet, little fridge, microwave, vcr, or dvd access. No hot tub. Swim pool outside, it is winter. They have a ""business"" area. That is one computer, with printer. I appreciate that, but, just one. I felt lucky to be able to access it as this is a large motel. Wireless access, or plug in access in the rooms are appreciated. If I need to stay in Yakima again, I will seek different arrangements
