We stayed in room , it was 20 feet away from a train track that the train used at 9:45 pm and 10:30 pm, thankfully it stopped after that. The TV did not function, when I called the desk we were told that they were upgrading the cable package and they expected it to work sometime in the early morning hours. At night I set the thermostat to 65 and every time the unit turned on or off there was a loud "pop" that repeatedly brought my son and I from a deep sleep to sitting straight up in bed. The shower floor felt and sounded unstable. I am a small female at 115 pounds and each time I moved in the shower, I was concerned that it would collapse and land me downstairs. There was a mold-like substance around the shower door. There was a brownish-red splatter on the wall by the toilet. The door frame around the bathroom was torn apart on each side from the floor to about 8-10 inches up. The pool depth was improperly marked as my son and I could not stand up confortably at our usual depth. The hot tub at the pool area was not working and looked like it had not been for a while. The hotel staff could only recommend chain restaurants, not local favorites which I would expect as the staff person that served us in Missoula was from Seattle Washington. Anyway, both my son and I rate this as a sorry experience and we will stay somewhere else in the future.

We travelled with our toddler and infant. Our room (2 queen beds) had lots of room for setting up a pack-and-play with still lots of room for running around after a day on the road. Breakfast was good with the standard hot waffle maker, microwave burritos and all the usual cold offerings. The pool was great on the night we were there as it was warm in the evening and the outdoor pool was just the right temperature. Highly recommended.

The Red Lion Missoula is a wonderful place to stay. The room was very clean, comfortable and had wonderful amenities. The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The continental breakfast offered a good variety of choices (waffles, breakfast burritos, bagels, enlish muffins, muffins, yogurt), fruit, juices, cereal and great coffee and tea selections. I was visiting my son at UM from CT and I will definitely return to the Red Lion in Missoula. In fact, for our family vacation in late June, I will be making reservations again at this hotel for everyone from Maine, Virginia and CT. Looking forward to my return visit.
