No coffee in the room. The lobby had 2 coffee machines that were both broken. Nothing else. I wanted a paper. Not only did the hotel not have one, but the desk help had no idea where to get one. No computer for guest use. The room was sparten but fine, and the building clean and conveniently located. But I kind of expected the additional touches I noted.

I've stayed there twice in the last 4 months and both time one of the elevators was broken. How long does it take to fix that? They charge for internet and the rooms are noisy. The first time our room was over some kind of equipment room and we had to run the AC even though it was 35 degrees out. There's a great beer and pizza place below, not associated with the hotel I think, but next time I'll walk from up the street.

I came here deciding that a majority of positive reviews were good enough to gamble on, and I was right. My room was clean, comfortable but not luxurious and well kept throughout my stay. The bed was very comfortable, though I wish I'd brought my own pillow. The desk was merely adequate - only two electrical outlets at the desk and none anywhere nearby - but the chair was very comfortable. The bathroom very nice and water pressure fine but the lack of an exhaust fan meant my mirror was fogged every time I really needed it. I had zero problems with noise from the train; I watched a train go by and could not hear it. The hotel staff were EXCEPTIONAL in all regards. They were responsive to a minor problem, genuinely helpful and friendly when asked for recommendations or opinions and both check-in and check-out took moments. The entrance is absurdly narrow and only by dint of driving a tiny import could I squeeze past the other cars parked there to get to the garage. There isn't much to be done about it, but going around to the back entrance to the garage is advised. The T-Mobile wireless internet signal was weak and overpriced, but there are numerous other open wireless networks within range. Given the price and the quality of the room and staff, I recommend this place to the basic-needs traveler without any reservation.
