We were very pleased with the hotel and would definitely recommend it. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The room was clean. It was so nice to have our own kitchen. We enjoyed the breakfast everyday. The walk from the King St Metro stop was not a hard for our two children. A little more than five minutes. Travel into Washington was not difficult using the Metro. The neighborhood was safe. The hotel also has a shuttle and we used this service to visit the waterfrount. We enjoyed the Wholes Food Store next to the hotel. We would certainly stay there again if we traveled to Washington DC area in the future. Great Hotel.

we chose this hotel after reading customer reviews and we were not disappointed.. Our stay was perfect and whatever little issues we had were taken care off more than professionally...The staff & manager were great! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good (even though we feel like it ended up too early since there was always a line at 9:15...!) and we appreciated the shuttle. We would definitely recommend this hotel. we traveled with a child and this was a great way to share a room with kids and still have privacy for everyone.

My family husband and 2 children, 9 and 11; recently spent five nights at the Residence Inn in Old Town Alexandria and had a wonderful time. The two bedroom suite was perfect size for the four of us and the kids enjoyed having their own room. The kitchen was nice to have although we rarely used it. The hotel offered free breakfast every morning which was very good. Lots of variety. On Mon through Thurs they also have a ;happy hour which included a small meal and drinks. We took advantage of this a couple of nights and the food was very tasty. There is also a Whole Foods Market 2 blocks from the hotel where we bought sandwich meat and frozen pizzas for a quick lunch or dinner. Every staff member that we encountered went out of their way to be helpful and were very friendly. We had difficulty with our internet connection in our room the first night. I called the front desk and within 5 minutes maintainence was at our door and helped us fix the problem. Parking is $15 per night but it was nice to know that the car was in a safe place. The hotel is just 3 blocks from the Metro station and took about 20 mins to get to Washington DC. It was very convenient! There is also an indoor pool although it is very small. We only swam one night so it was fine. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will stay there again when we are back in that area.

We stayed in a spacious 2-bedroom suite for a 1-night stay. We were pleased to find that the hotel is just about finished with its renovations (according to a note posted in the elevator, they only have the 3rd floor and the lobby area to go).

The location is perfect for visitng DC. The Metro is a few blocks away and a 20 minute ride to the monument area of DC. Arlington is one of the stops on the way into DC. The Metro was very safe and easy to use. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We didn't use many of the extras, but the laundry facilities we did use are in a large room with comfortable waiting area. They have a free breakfast with everything you could want and afternoon wine available. We returned to Alexandria for our evening meals and there is an excellent selection of restaurants nearby. We spent a day in Alexandria. It has historical sites and is a very charming town with river walkway. Lots of shopping and beautifully renovated historical homes on cobbled roads. Shuttle is available to take you to and from your activities. I will do it all the same when I return to DC. We tried hard, but couldn't see it all in four days and it left us hoping to return to see more.
