We traveled with our two teenagers, spouse and myself. We had a 1 bedroom suite. We asked for a roll-a-way bed to make sure everyone slept comfortably. There was plenty of room. The kitchenette was wonderful if you wanted to create your own food. The free breakfast was delicious and had plenty for everyone to choose (eggs, cereal, waffles, toast, fruit, coffee, etc.). They offered free dinners on certain nights too. This hotel was so clean. We could walk, take the Metro, taxis or buses anywhere. The pool and jacuzzi came in handy after all the walking we did. If you did not get enough excerise walking, there is a complete fitness room. The hotel staff is one-of-a-kind! They were all so friendly and helpful. This hotel was highly recommended to us. Now I know why. I will never stay anywhere else when we are in the DC area!

We just returned from a vacation to Washington DC and couldn't have been happier with this hotel! It is nearly new (built in 2009), so everything was nice and new. Upon check-in, we were given a complimentary upgrade (I simply asked for it) from a 1 bedroom suite to a 2 bedroom suite- which was GREAT. We have 2 teenagers, and it was nice that we could spread out, not be cramped, and each have our own sleeping area- one son in one bedroom, one on the pull-out sofa in the living room, and my wife & I in the other bedroom. Having 2 bathrooms was also nice- so was having 3 TV's. The pool & hot tub area was simple, but refreshing after a long day of walking around DC. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful if we had questions about the city. The daily complimentary hot breakfasts were really convenient and had a big variety (fruits, yogurt, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, doughnuts, waffles, juices, etc......and the food was good!) The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked great, and the free wireless internet was nice too (we took our laptop). It was nice to have a full kitchen; we kept restaurant leftovers in the fridge and warmed them up for late night snacks in the microwave. Even with all these great amenities, the absolute best part about this hotel is the location. We flew in to Ronald Reagan National airport, took the Orange line Metrorail to the Courthouse Metro station, and then it was literally a 50 yard walk across a brick courtyard to the entrance of the hotel. The Orange line takes you straight into the heart of DC and the National Mall- so as we left the hotel each morning to do our sightseeing, we were literally out the door and on the train within 5 minutes. The hotel is in an ideal location - away from the crowds of DC, yet convenient to get there via the Metrorail....and without the high prices of hotels that are close to the National Mall! The hotel is located in a nice, nearly new complex of apartment buildings and offices, and there are several conveniences located in the complex- a small grocery store/market, a CVS pharmacy, a few small restaurants, and a bakery. A Starbucks is about a 1 minute walk across the courtyard. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for a DC vacation, and if we ever go back this will definitely be our hotel choice.
